On the vibrant occasion of World Music Day, Manjusha Museum celebrated the timeless spirit of music in a meaningful and culturally enriching way. The event was held in collaboration with SDM English Medium School students and the esteemed Padarthi Team of the Dharmasthala Temple.
The Padarthi team, deeply rooted in the sacred traditions of the temple, presented an enlightening session on the traditional musical instruments used in temple rituals, such as the Chende, Maddale, and Mridangam. They not only showcased these instruments but also explained their spiritual significance and role in temple ceremonies, giving students and visitors a rare opportunity to connect with the living heritage of Karnataka.
The event culminated in a soulful live performance by the Padarthi team, filling the museum with divine rhythms and powerful energy. The students enthusiastically participated, observed, and even engaged in interactive demonstrations, making it a memorable educational experience.
Through this celebration, Manjusha Museum aimed to promote the cultural importance of traditional music, especially in sacred spaces, while inspiring the younger generation to appreciate and preserve our intangible heritage. The museum continues to serve as a bridge between tradition and education, bringing history alive through active engagement.
