Cake – Chaos & Crown

Manjusha Museum recently hosted an engaging educational activity titled “Cake, Chaos & Crown”, specially designed for the 9th-grade students of SDM English Medium School (CBSE), Ujire. This immersive program explored the fascinating history and impact of the French Revolution, blending education with visual storytelling to bring the past to life.

Curated by our intern  Mrigakshi Sarkar, the activity featured a thoughtfully arranged display of 20+ rare artifacts from France and the French Revolution, all part of the vast and diverse collection of Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, which is proudly recognized as the Largest Single-Man Diverse Collection of Antiques.

Through this exhibit, students gained insight into the socio-political upheavals of 18th-century France, the role of monarchy and revolutionaries, and how this pivotal moment in history continues to influence the modern world. The display served as a visual timeline, guiding students through themes of oppression, rebellion, transformation, and legacy.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated teachers of SDM English Medium School, Ujire, whose encouragement and active participation played a vital role in the success of this program. Their commitment to holistic learning made this journey into history both educational and inspiring for the students.

Manjusha Museum remains committed to creating meaningful educational experiences that connect young minds to the rich tapestry of global history through our unique collections.
